It's a common narrative, the easterner that ventures west. Although my path on the traditional migration is quite unique.
I have lived off the grid for years now,
Such a peaceful way of living. I always find unique places to call home wherever I was working. I would find places as far as I could from everything, lost somewhere in the wilderness. After years of living in remote areas with no running water or direct power source, I decided to built my own little tiny cabin.
This was a longtime dream of mine of having my own little offgrid place. 5 years ago I accomplished that dream and built my own.(see photo below) It is located somewhere in the Beautiful British Columbia’s Purcell Mountains Range. 100% off the grid, 100% breath taking.
After growing up in a small French community outside of Ottawa, I moved West in 2001 at the age of 19 and have never looked back. The ski industry captivated me and the stoke for being a photographer developed naturally and very quickly.
After 15 years + of working in the ski industry and operating snowcats at night, I was fortunate enough to have been exposed to beautiful landscapes while most people are sleeping, which inspired my passion for photography.
I am truly passionate about nature and the true colors of the world. I am compelled to shared the beauty and energy of these wild places with everyone. Follow me on my path and I hope to inspire you to get out there and experience all that Western Canada has to offer!
